Tobiume

plumtree Flying Plum Tree

Tobiume is Baieido’s new aloeswood incense. It’s not available in the USA now and only comes in 500 stick boxes.

Tobiume is very famous plum tree in Dazaifu shrine, Fukuoka pref. Japan.

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine says there are over 6000 plum trees and 197 varieties in the area. Legend has it that when Michizane Sugawara was exiled from the Emperors court in Kyoto one particular plum tree missed him so much it uprooted itself and flew to where he was. Today this tree grows beside the main shrine and is the first to bloom each year.

Baieido’s Tobiume incense is the latest in a long line of great aloeswood incense from the Master Incense Blender Masaichiro Nakata.

Hopefully we will see Tobiume come to the USA soon.

This looks like a nice product.
What makes it different from other plum blossom-styled incense sticks?
